Does OwnerRez support video? No, and that's official policy

Most platforms in this series are silent about video. OwnerRez is the refreshing exception: its team has said, on the record, that it deliberately does not build cleaning features. Here is what that means for turnover documentation, and the pairing playbook OwnerRez itself recommends.

The short answer

No. OwnerRez has no operational video capability, and no native cleaning tasks, checklists, or photo capture either. Housekeeping in OwnerRez is a single cleaning date and time field on each booking. This is a deliberate design decision the OwnerRez team has stated publicly: operations belongs to its partners, and it lists eleven housekeeping platforms that fill the gap. The only video in OwnerRez is marketing embeds, pasting a YouTube or Vimeo URL into a listing carousel or hosted website. Operators who want photo or video turnover documentation pair OwnerRez with an ops layer; for video walkthroughs analyzed by AI, that layer is RapidEye.

"We've decided not to add any additional cleaning features to OwnerRez. That's because we have several partners that do a really first-class job of handling that kind of thing, and it doesn't make sense for us to use our resources duplicating their work."
Ken T, OwnerRez team, in the OwnerRez forums (January 2022). Four years on, the docs still match the policy: one cleaning date/time field, and a partner list for everything else.

What "no ops features" looks like in the documentation

This is not us reading between the lines. Every fact below is OwnerRez's own documentation describing its own boundaries.

Housekeeping
According to OwnerRez's support docs: Currently, OwnerRez offers a single scheduling option for housekeeping: you can specify a particular day and/or time for a property to be cleaned after a booking. That field, on the booking's Change/Move screen, is the entire native cleaning feature set. The same article adds: We have integrations with several companies that specialize in providing detailed housekeeping and maintenance scheduling capabilities.
Video
Marketing embeds only: OwnerRez makes it easy to add video to your property photo carousel simply by copying a video URL from Youtube or Vimeo and pasting it into your photo details. No video upload exists anywhere; account file uploads are capped at 30MB, which rules out walkthrough footage even as a generic file.
Damage claims
Even damage documentation excludes video: the claim system only accepts PNG, JPEG, PDF, or GIF, and damage must be reported within 14 days of checkout. A walkthrough video cannot be submitted as claim evidence in that pipeline; you would export frames from it.
API
The API v2 reference exposes bookings, guests, listings, properties, messages, payments, quotes, reviews, and related booking-engine resources. There are no task, media, file, or attachment endpoints of any kind. Ops partners integrate by pulling bookings and running everything else in their own apps.

The sanctioned playbook: pair it

OwnerRez does not just tolerate the pairing pattern; it publishes the roster. These are the eleven housekeeping platforms OwnerRez lists as official partners.

AllStay.ai Breezeway CIBO Clyn EZcare Keepers Operto Teams ResortCleaning TIDY TidyStay Turno

From OwnerRez's "Housekeeping Services: Overview" support article. These platforms schedule cleans and, in most cases, capture task photos. None of them stores your media in OwnerRez; each runs its own app.

Here is the part that matters for this page's question: pairing an ops platform gets you tasks and photos, and at most unreviewed video. Breezeway's checklists offer Photo as their only media element, Turno's workflows are photo-proof based, and Operto Teams' checklists take video uploads that nothing in the product reviews; across our eight-platform audit no task system reviews video walkthroughs natively. So an OwnerRez operator who wants video documentation is actually making two decisions, not one.

Decision one

The task layer

Pick the scheduling and checklist tool your cleaners will live in: Breezeway, Turno, EZcare, or another partner from the roster. This layer owns who cleans what, when, and captures per-step photo proof.

Decision two

The evidence layer

Decide how the property's actual condition gets captured and reviewed. This is where video walkthroughs live: full-room coverage, compared turnover-over-turnover, analyzed by AI rather than by whoever has time to look. A recording link drops into whichever task tool you chose in decision one.

The direct answer

RapidEye is the evidence layer for OwnerRez stacks

RapidEye is AI inspection intelligence that pairs with whatever task tool your OwnerRez operation runs. A per-turnover recording link goes into the cleaner's task, whether that task lives in Breezeway, Turno, or a custom setup. The cleaner taps it, films the walkthrough in their phone's browser with no app install, and the video uploads in real time while they record. RapidEye's AI clusters footage by room, compares it against that property's baseline and prior turnovers, and flags damage, missing items, low inventory, and staging changes, including whether an issue is new or was already there.

RapidEye builds integrations for the platforms its customers already use, and reports arrive about an hour after the walkthrough. Pricing is per property per month with unlimited video inspections.

Across more than 1.5 million turnover photos from a 500-plus-unit operator, RapidEye found an average of 4 issues per property that the operator's own cleaners and inspectors had already missed.

Frequently asked questions

Does OwnerRez have cleaning checklists? +

No. The native housekeeping feature is a cleaning date and time field on each booking. Checklists, task assignment, and photo proof come from partner platforms like Breezeway, Turno, and EZcare, which sync to OwnerRez bookings through the API.

Can I store turnover photos in OwnerRez? +

Not as an operational workflow. There is no cleaner photo capture, and OwnerRez actively recommends links over file attachments in messaging, with a 30MB cap on account file uploads. Turnover photos live in whichever ops tool captures them.

Can I submit video evidence for an OwnerRez damage protection claim? +

No. The claim system accepts only PNG, JPEG, PDF, or GIF, and requires damage to be reported within 14 days of checkout. If your evidence is a walkthrough video, you would submit still frames exported from it. That said, video is how you catch the damage within the window in the first place.

Is OwnerRez planning to add cleaning or video features? +

Nothing suggests so. The team's stated policy since 2022 is to leave cleaning features to partners, and community feature requests for richer cleaning scheduling remain open under "Requested" status. The pairing pattern is the design, not a stopgap.

Which PMS platforms do support video in tasks? +

Essentially none. In our eight-platform audit, the PMS-side crack is Lodgify's mobile app, which accepts optional photos and videos on checklist items on its top plan; the ops-side exception is Operto Teams, whose checklists take video uploads that nothing reviews. Guesty, Hostaway, Breezeway, Hospitable, and Hostfully are all photo-ceiling platforms. Video documentation comes from a dedicated layer.

What's the best way to do video inspections on an OwnerRez stack? +

Pick your task layer (Breezeway, Turno, or another OwnerRez housekeeping partner), then add video inspection software as the evidence layer. RapidEye drops a recording link into whichever task tool your cleaners use; they film in the phone's browser with no app install, footage uploads in real time, and AI compares every room against the property's baseline, returning a report in about an hour.
