According to BnB Facts (2022), the average pet fee is $20 per day or a $100 flat rate, and only 23% of hosts who allow pets charge any pet fee at all. The clear majority of charging hosts price per stay rather than per night, and the distribution is tightly clustered at modest amounts. Pet fee structures and deposits, platform by platform
The platforms constrain what pet pricing can look like. According to Airbnb's Help Center (2026), a pet fee can be structured four ways: a flat fee per booking, a flat fee per night, a flat fee per pet, or a flat fee per pet per night, and it cannot exceed the listing's nightly base rate.
