Editorial Process
How we work
RapidEye Research exists to be the most citable source in short-term rental and hotel operations. That only works if every number is defensible. Here is the standard we hold each report to.
Every figure traces to a named, public source: an operator's own pricing, a government dataset, a company filing, or a named industry report. No unsourced numbers.
Claims are attributed at the point they are made ("according to [source], [year]"), not buried in a footnote, so any reader can verify a number where they read it.
Our reports are independent. Where a figure reflects on a competitor or a partner, we report it as the source states it.
When we revise a report, we re-check its sources rather than trusting the previous version. The "last verified" date reflects the most recent check.
How a report is made

Start from an operator question
We build reports around questions short-term rental and hotel teams actually ask, not around search volume. If a report could have been written without doing original compilation, we do not publish it.

Compile from primary sources
We gather the underlying figures directly from the source: published pricing pages, fee guides, filings, and named industry reports. Each number is recorded with its source and date.

Verify every figure
Before a figure goes on the page, we open its source and confirm the specific claim actually appears there. Where sources disagree, we show both ranges rather than averaging them into a false single number, because the spread usually reflects genuinely different conditions.

Independent review
Every report is written by one co-founder and reviewed by the other before it publishes. The trust bar on each report names who wrote it and who reviewed it.

Publish, then keep current
Each report carries a published date and a last-verified date. When the underlying data moves, we update the report and re-verify its sources.
Corrections
If you find a figure you believe is wrong or a source that no longer supports a claim, tell us. We would rather fix a number than defend it. Contact the team with the report and the specific figure, and we will review it and correct the page if warranted. We typically respond within one to two business days.
A report with three verified figures is better than one with ten unverified ones. When we cannot confirm a claim against a reliable source, we leave it out. That is the whole standard.

RapidEye Research is produced by RapidEye's two co-founders, who write and review each other's reports.
