The Lodgify Public API key carries both read and write permissions, and you cannot issue a read-only one. That matters the moment an AI agent holds the key: there is no platform-level guardrail, so the restraint has to live in your own code. Lodgify also has a first-party MCP server at mcp.lodgify.com, but as of July 2026 it is in early access behind a waitlist.
The key you get is not read-only
According to Lodgify's API documentation (lodgify.com), you issue a Public API key from account settings, and that key carries both read and write permissions. Lodgify does not offer a read-only variant, so the same credential that lists your properties can also change them.
For a human running occasional scripts that is a minor detail. For an autonomous agent it is the whole risk surface: a misread instruction becomes a write, and nothing at the platform level stops it. A sound Lodgify integration therefore enforces read-only above the API, by only ever exposing GET operations to the agent.
Their MCP server is coming
Lodgify has a first-party MCP server at mcp.lodgify.com that connects assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini to a Lodgify account. As of July 2026 it sits behind an early-access waitlist rather than being generally available.
Our guide to using Lodgify with Claude covers the assistant side, and does Lodgify support video covers what it holds for turnovers.
Using Lodgify with RapidEye
RapidEye works with Lodgify. We set the connection up for your account, so there is nothing to build or configure on your side. Tell us which platform you use and we take it from there.
Looking for the RapidEye inspection API itself, where you send turnover photos or video and get findings back? Its reference is public at api.rapideyeinspections.com/docs.
Quick FAQ
Does RapidEye work with Lodgify?
Yes. RapidEye sets up the connection to Lodgify for your account. Tell us which platform you use and we take it from there.
How do you get API access to Lodgify?
Lodgify issues a Public API key from account settings. According to Lodgify API documentation the key carries both read and write permissions, and there is no read-only variant, so any restriction on what an integration can do must be enforced in your own code.
Can AI assistants connect to Lodgify officially yet?
Yes, but not generally available yet. Lodgify has a first-party MCP server at mcp.lodgify.com that connects AI assistants including Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini to a Lodgify account. As of July 2026 it is in early access behind a waitlist.
Is it safe to give an AI agent a Lodgify API key?
Only with care, because the key is not read-only. The same credential that reads properties and bookings can modify them, so the safe pattern is to expose only GET operations to the agent and never pass the raw key into a context where an agent can compose arbitrary requests with it.
