iAuditor still exists; it has just been renamed twice. The checklist and inspection app launched as iAuditor on February 17, 2012, was renamed to SafetyCulture on November 21, 2022, and became Mitti on August 11, 2026, when the whole company rebranded. It is the same app throughout: same App Store listing, same accounts, same data. There has been no standalone app called iAuditor since November 2022, and there is no product difference between iAuditor, SafetyCulture, and Mitti. They are one product at three points in time.
This is an independent third-party record. RapidEye has no affiliation with Mitti; every date below is drawn from the published sources listed at the bottom, including app store listing data and the Australian Business Register, and the redirect checks were run directly by RapidEye Research in August 2026.

The name that cannot be deleted
Rebrands change what you see; they cannot change what software is built on. Three immutable artifacts still carry the iAuditor name in August 2026, and they are why the old name keeps surfacing years after it was retired:
- The iOS bundle ID is still
com.safetyculture.iAuditorand the Android package iscom.safetyculture.iauditor. App identifiers cannot be changed without shipping a different app, so every MDM console, app inventory, and enterprise device report in the world still lists this product under its 2012 name, through both rebrands. - The App Store seller is still "SafetyCulture Pty Ltd", and Google Play's developer link for the app still pointed at a safetyculture.com iAuditor page when we checked, nineteen days after the Mitti rebrand.
- The redirect chain walks all three names in one request. Verified by RapidEye Research in August 2026: iauditor.com redirects to safetyculture.com/iauditor, which redirects to mitti.com/iauditor. One URL, fourteen years of branding history.
There is also a reason the confusion lasted as long as it did. According to the company's own 2022 announcement (mitti.com), the app only renamed on a device when the user updated it, so anyone without auto-update kept an app called iAuditor on their phone long after November 2022. Combine that with review sites and software directories that never updated for either rename, and "what happened to iAuditor" stays a live question in 2026.
What the official history leaves out
An independent record earns its keep where it differs from the official one. Checked against Mitti's published company timeline (mitti.com) in August 2026:
- The company's own "Our story" timeline does not mention the 2022 iAuditor rename at all, nor the August 2026 rebrand itself. The most-searched fact about the product is absent from the company's history page.
- "22 years" versus 26. Rebrand coverage dates the company from 2004, when the safety-documents business began. The Australian Business Register shows the legal entity continuously active since June 26, 2000, under three earlier names. Both framings are defensible; only the registry date is a matter of public record.
- The current landing page compresses history. mitti.com/iauditor says "iAuditor is now Mitti" with no dates, collapsing a two-step, four-year rename into one hop. True, but lossy; the table above is the complete version.
One more anti-confusion note from the archives: iauditor.com existed as far back as 2002, but the Wayback Machine (archive.org) shows the 2002 site was an unrelated parking page targeting US county auditor searches. The domain was acquired and repointed later. iAuditor the app did not exist before 2012.
