In the Hostfully Platform API, a lead is a booking or inquiry record, not a sales prospect. Listing leads is how you read who is arriving, when, and at which property, while a separate orders endpoint carries the financial side of each booking. Hostfully sells API access as a subscription add-on and ships no official MCP server as of July 2026.

Leads, orders, and why the naming matters

Every platform models the same reality with different words, and Hostfully's choice catches people out. According to Hostfully's Platform API documentation (hostfully.com), a lead is the reservation itself: a booking or inquiry record. If you are looking for the endpoint that answers "who is arriving Friday," it is leads, not anything named reservations or bookings.

The financial side lives separately. Orders hold the money attached to each booking. So a revenue question and an arrivals question hit two different endpoints that you join on your side.

This is exactly the class of detail that costs an agent, or a developer, an afternoon of guessing.

How access works

Hostfully sells API access as a subscription add-on. Our vacation rental PMS API audit found that Hostfully's help center says a missing API key means "you haven't added API access to your subscription" and routes you to the billing team. Once it is on the subscription, the Platform API covers properties, leads and orders.

There is no first-party Hostfully MCP server as of July 2026, and no widely used community one either, so agent access means wrapping the Platform API yourself. Our guide to using AI with Hostfully and does Hostfully have an MCP server cover the assistant side.
